What has actually been reported?

In its 17 December 2025 project update, RTA reported 12% completion and a 30% target for the end of 2026. Those are a dated milestone and a target, not a live progress reading.

Correction, 26 September 2026: our earlier page incorrectly described 30% as achieved in mid-2026. That statement was not supported by the cited announcement and has been removed. A target must not be presented as completed construction.

How the future connection works

The project connects at Creek on the Green Line and Centrepoint on the Red Line. The two branches meet at International City 1. RTA describes a corridor through International City 2 and 3, Dubai Silicon Oasis and Academic City. The Centrepoint branch serves Mirdif and Al Warqa; the Creek branch serves Dubai Festival City, Dubai Creek Harbour and Ras Al Khor.

These are corridor descriptions, not a final entrance map or an exhaustive list of approved station names. We have withdrawn the earlier detailed station diagram because it implied precision the source did not establish. See RTA’s Metro project description for the announced route.

Planning a journey now versus after opening

Use the right network for your travel date
QuestionWhat to do
Can I take the Blue Line today? No. Use existing Metro services plus a bus or taxi where required.
Will Creek or Centrepoint get me straight to a future Blue Line district now?No. A planned interchange is not an available connection.
Can I price a future Blue Line commute?Do not assume station zones, service frequency or a final journey time. Wait for the operating details.
Choosing accommodation or a venue?Compare today’s door-to-door journey first. Do not base a current booking on a construction target.

What still needs to be confirmed for passengers?

An opening target does not provide a usable timetable. Before planning a specific trip, passengers will need final station entrances, accessibility arrangements, service patterns, fare zones and the opening-day operating notice. Construction percentages alone do not answer those questions.

Our operating network map and fare calculator therefore cover the current network. The Gold Line is a separate future project.
