This section follows the changes that affect riders: station renames, fare and timetable announcements, new connections such as Etihad Rail, and the two metro lines under development. The Blue Line is under construction for a September 2029 opening, and the Gold Line is in procurement for 2032; each has a tracker page that we update after official milestones.
Every item starts from an official source — the RTA, the Dubai Media Office or the operator concerned. When a development has been reported by the media but not confirmed officially, we say so in the article and keep it out of our confirmed timelines. Articles are updated when the facts change, with a dated note at the top, and any correction is recorded on the page. Our editorial policy sets out the full process.
