How to read this directory

Station codes. Each station has a code made of its line letter and a number: R for the Red Line, G for the Green Line. Red Line numbers run from R11 at Centrepoint, but some numbers are missing — R27, R28 and R30 were reserved for stations that were never built, which is why the long stretch south of Business Bay has no stops. The two interchange stations, Union and BurJuman, carry one code for each line.

Fare zones. Dubai is divided into seven transport zones, but the metro charges only three fare levels: travel within one zone, across two zones, or across three or more. The zone column tells you where each station sits. The most useful boundary to remember is Dubai Creek: stations on the Deira side are in zone 5, and those on the Bur Dubai side are in zone 6, so even a one-stop hop across the creek is a two-zone fare. Our zones explainer maps every boundary.

Renamed stations. 17 of the network’s stations have carried at least one earlier name, mostly because Dubai sells station naming rights to brands. The search box above accepts former names too, so directions from an old map or hotel email will still find the right stop. The full history is in the station rename database.

How many stations are there? The usual figure is 55 — 35 on the Red Line and 20 on the Green Line — but that counts Union and BurJuman once for each line, so there are 53 separate stations. The future total of 67 includes the Blue Line. It is not the number of stations open today.

Planned Blue Line (2029) stations are on the Blue Line tracker; Gold Line stations are unannounced - see the Gold Line page.
